Creation of the Cosmos

Formation of a Home
God creates everything but humanity in the beginning. After the beginning, God “makes” a particular “land” in seven literal 24-hour days. On the 6th day he creates humanity to live in that land as his image bearers.
Making and creating are two separate activities. This “land,” which is called Eden in chapter 2, is likely to be identified with the Promised Land.
